I am now trying to find the electrical diagram for this 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD Diesel. Before I take this vehicle back to the dealer if they ever get the WIN module in. I want to be able to go through all the ignition wiring checking my grounds and voltages. My faith in the dealership has faded.
If the electric pump failed the std pump would still be able to suck fuel though it. If the std low pressure pump failed the car should still run. You cant make the pressure too high as the cars std pressure relief system would return any excess diesel to the tank. I would be interested in fellow CRD owners views on this.
And my money is 50% on that, and 50% on non-sealed fuel supply, here's why: My first attempt to fix it was taking the jeep to injector specialists - all 5 injectors were fully refurbished, brand new Bosch nozzles fitted, I thought my problems were over but no - still long cranks.
