The best Oculus Rift accessory out there is SwitchBlades Magnetic Melee Attachments. Being able to two hand weapons in games and immediately switch right back to single-handed in the blink of an eye completely changes how you play melee combat in VR. It’s also well made, so you won’t accidentally break it while playing.
In keeping on topic of this post, Skyrim VR has character height built into the in-game VR settings. If you are on another game then I would use SteamVR settings to adjust floor height. A tap of the menu buttons usually brings up SteamVR in most games. Some games have the menu button assigned to something so you may have to press the oculus JJ_Mark • 4 yr. ago. Download the Skyrim and Fallout VR Configuration Tool on NexusMods so you can modify the .ini files more effectively. Using the tool, search for bUseWandDirectionalMovement under the VRInput section and change the value from 1 to 0. Voila. Done, you should now have HMD-based directional movement. Title that gets the most out of this, because otherwise can be unplayable for most setups, is Fallout 4 VR, something I've dropped about 500 hours in so far. Really a great game to play in VR, but the performance is awful for Oculus users until running this. The motion controllers are too new for the game which was made before then. However, it'll work with Natural Locomotion and the game. I have Oculus rift, the original and FO4vr runs just fine. I have quest 2, the controls were updated, so your rift should have no problems. Missing an entry point in the Fallout 4 VR.exe is most likely an issue with the Visual C++ install or configuration. (Missaligned .DLL's play havok.) I know you indicated that you have reinstalled the Visual C++ files. The Steam Build Bot would install both the X86 (32bit) and the X64 (64bit) versions of these. qRmhKR. 114 388 156 299 315 85 3 319 495
